Exceeding multi-million dollar sales quotas in the Global 500 and mid-markets, Cindy brings a consultative, solution-oriented focus to Spend Radar along with unparalleled customer service and satisfaction.

As the Head of Purchasing at XC Trains (part of Deutsche Bahn AG) Philip has over 17 years experience in the purchasing profession and a career spanning a broad and deep range of industrial sectors that includes Power, IT, Utilities, Retail, Automotive, Broadcasting and Transport. Armed with a practical knowledge gained through involvement in both Public and Private sourcing Philip is able to challenge and successfully transfer best practice purchasing skills.

Always enjoying the excitement of working across multiple departments he constantly looks for innovative solutions to practical purchasing issues and sharing valuable insight between departments, whether they be direct or indirect spend.

This is made clear in his pragmatic approach to training and development which has seen him directly involved in successfully writing and conducted training courses in a number of purchasing roles. A keen contributor to many professional teams he was one of the founding members of the CIPS Marketing group and has written numerous articles in support of the purchasing profession.

Charles currently holds the position of Procurement Director at Gasunie. His first work experience was with a pharmaceutical wholesaling company with jobs in logistics, sales, IT and facility management and as operations director. After that he worked as European marketing & sales director for TNT Logistics, then as VP customer service and logistics Europe for a Unilever subsidiary. His most recent roles were General Manager Distribution Europe for Shell (downstream) and CPO (Group Procurement) for Heijmans, a construction company.

Charles holds Engineering degrees in Construction and Civil Engineering and Masters degrees in Technical and International Business Administration.

He is Chairman of Raad van Toezicht KICI, Vice Chairman/ Penningmeester of Dutch Breast Cancer Federation and Chairman of Client Council Diakonessenhospitals.

Dr Guzman-Bello started his career in change management and transformation in the mid 80’s as a member of the management team of Lucas Engineering and Systems, where he led a number of transformation programmes within Lucas Industries as well as Westland Helicopters and Rolls Royce Plc. He held a number of executive positions in Lucas Industries, including Group Supply Chain Program Director and Head of Strategic Sourcing. In the mid 90s, following the merger between Varity and Lucas Industries, he was part of an integration team that delivered savings in excess of £200m in its first year.

He founded Consult Avila in 2002. Since then, he has been involved in a number of successful transformations, including Compair, the 2006 winner of the most successful turnaround business awarded by the Turnaround Management Association (UK). Consulting work included: business turnaround, business planning, post-merger integration, working capital and leadership development.

Nikolaus Kirner is Thomas Cook Group plc’s Chief Procurement Officer spearheading the group’s global supply chain activities. He re-joined the Thomas Cook Group in October 2010 from Corporate Service Group where he was a Managing Director responsible for the strategic supplier relationship management with a spent of more then EUR 7bn purchasing volume, the provision of various shared services for the Arcandor group, as well as chairing various subsidiaries (fashion wholesale to BRIC markets, sea freight broker, fashion design center in Hong Kong) totalling a sales volume of EUR 215m.

From 2001-2009 Nikolaus worked for Thomas Cook’s German subsidiary as Procurement Director and project leader for a corporate cost reduction programme as well as a post-merger-programme.

Nikolaus started his career at Lufthansa German Airlines as strategic sourcing consultant within the Star Alliance organisation and established joint procurement activities with further partners.

Nikolaus graduated as Master of Business Administrations from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and Trinity College Dublin. He serves on the supervisory board of fairpartners AG, Langen/Germany and on the advisory board of the strategy research network at the Institute for Industrial Organisation at WHU, Vallendar/Germany

Fabien is currently in charge of leading the evolution of the Procurement Function in line with company’s Ambition 2015 strategic plan. Through a series of work streams, he is responsible for setting up the conditions of refined dialogues and agendas with Top Management, Executive Committee, local CPOs and teams, and for influencing change in a context of strong corporate transformation driven by markets and shareholders’ requirements. In addition to this role, Fabien is also Director of Indirect Purchasing (high-value services). He is responsible for 600M€+ yearly spending of strategic value (consulting services, recruitment, advertising, communication, marketing studies, web, insurance, training, etc.) and works in close relationship upward with key internal clients (Executive Committee Representatives and their Directors), downward with users and suppliers, and transversally with purchasing teams. 2009 and 2010 savings achieved: 19%. 2011 (to date): 15%

Fabien joined Groupe La Poste from EDF Group, where he was Director of the OPTEIS (OPTimization of External IT Spend) Programme. The initiative has been one of the major performance transformation drivers in the context of the IPO preparation. Spend baseline: €1.1b of yearly spending. Leading a team of around 50; reporting to Group CFO. Savings achieved above 20 %.

Prior to that, he worked for A.T. Kearney for 3 years and and Groupe ABC, a McKinsey spin-off.

Fabien holds an MBA from INSEAD.

Sammy Rashed has 20+ years experience in senior management across various industries, and is currently Global Head of Productivity Strategy and PMO for Novartis Pharma AG in Switzerland.

Prior to this role Sammy was the Head of Strategy and Productivity for Pharma Global Sourcing. Since joining Novartis in 2001, he has headed Sourcing organizations in Canada, Europe, as well as Globally across all regions where he managed annual spend >$1.5 Bio and implemented Category Management focused organizations, evolving the function into a strategic partner for the business. Prior to that he managed category organizations at Merck, and has a project management background in mechanical contracting. Sammy holds a college degree in Architecture and an executive MBA from UQAM (Canada)

Frank de Reij is Group CPO Air France – KLM, and responsible for the Procurement of products and services – excluding aircraft - for both airlines.

After his career at Transport Management International, Frank de Reij joined KLM in 1998 as VP & Managing Director Business Unit Air Logistics.

In 1999 he was appointed as Senior VP of the Business Unit Air Cargo and in 2000 he joined the Executive Board of the KLM Cargo division as Senior VP Commercial, responsible for all commercial developments and partners.

From 2003 until 2007 Frank de Reij was Executive Vice President of the KLM Ground Services division. Heading over 5000 people, he was responsible for the worldwide handling of aircrafts, passengers and luggage.

Frank was an active member of numerous Air- and Logistics associations. He is member of the SIGB, the Foundation for Natural Leadership and the Supervisory Board of Tergooi Ziekenhuizen. He is also involved in a variety of coaching and leadership development activities.

Zoltan is a Director of the Procurement Center of Excellence group at Alcoa. He is responsible for the strategic direction, management, planning and operations for the area consists of Procurement Service Center, Accounts Payable, Professional Services, and Functional Support. He leads a large group of people, which provides services on 10 languages to 100+ locations in 14 countries in Europe and North America. Previously he held various Global and regional management positions in shared services, procurement and IT. His professional career reflects to 18 years experience including 14 years in multinational corporate environment. Zoltan holds a BA in Information Sciences and an MBA in Management and Finance.

Heinz Schäffer was responsible for establishing the Procurement function when he joined AXA Germany in 2003. He was instrumental in defining the organisational structure, the key policies and in building the Procurement team. Today he actively contributes to international AXA Procurement activities and, since the summer of 2007, is responsible for Procurement Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Ukraine as CPO NORCEE (Chief Procurement Officer Northern and Central Eastern Europe). Moreover, Mr. Schäffer also lectures at a number of German and Austrian Business Schools and contributes to various standardization activities – e.g. he is a co-founder of the e-catalogue standard BMEcat.

Detlef-Schultz Detlef Schultz

Detlef joined Vodafone in March 2003 to lead the Global Supply Chain team. His responsibilities include strategic and operational leadership of Vodafone’s Supply Chain Management across the globe in the areas of Network Infrastructure, IT and Services. Detlef also leads the Luxembourg-based Vodafone Procurement Company, which provides a single point of purchase for the Group.

Prior to Vodafone, Detlef spent more than 6 years in Santa Clara, California with the world’s largest semi conductor equipment manufacturer, Applied Materials where he held various Supply Chain, Planning and Operations Management responsibilities.

Before moving to the US Detlef was a Member of the Board of Management for Babcock-BSH AG in Germany where he led the area of Supply Chain Management and financial controlling.

Prior to that, Detlef worked for Siemens for ten years, more latterly as Purchasing Director based in Bocholt and Kamp-Lintfort, Germany.

He started his Supply Chain career with Siemens in 1985 in the area of Materials Management Over the course of his career with the company he lived in Korea and Singapore.

Detlef was born and raised in Germany and graduated from the University of Cologne with a master’s degree in business.
